Indispensable with Resonance Ensemble

I had the pleasure of playing Courtney Allen in Martine Sainvil’s new play Indispensable as part of the Waldman Play Development Program with Resonance Ensemble. I really love Martine’s work and am so happy to have been a part of this process, and so grateful to have been digging into a project as we continue to make art through a pandemic.
A lil’ blurb for you: Honor Washington is living the middle-class American dream but she is struggling with what that means for her identity and the growing obligations to her family. Indispensable is the story of a class divide that grows within a family as they face the barriers to bridging the racial wealth gap.
My role, Courtney, is a co-worker of Honor’s…and yes…it got a little Karen.
While I’d love to have shared this with everyone, it was an invitation only development process; but knowing Martine, this play will definitely see another life beyond zoom.
